It has been nice here lately. It's been around 60 degrees for the past week and it has been really beautiful. This is t-shirt and shorts weather for us. Anyway, I woke up this morning to overcast skies and quite cooler temperatures. We went to playgroup at 11:00 am and it was really pretty cold. One gal brought her daughter in in full winter wear. While we were there, it started snowing (bizarre) and by the time we left two and a half hours later, it was about 55 degrees and nice outside. Bizarro!
Other than that, things have been good around here. Daddy is just getting ready for the end of the semester and the stresses that come. He also has a big BBQ tomorrow that he is putting on for work. One of Boo and Bo's aunties came home for the summer yesterday. She came over tonight with Nona. It was so good to see her. I know she is almost 19, but she seems so grown up! And she looks fantastic! Boo and Bo have been playing and dancing it up a lot lately. I am realizing that Boo knows the words to the songs I listen to a lot. That's been fun. She picks up so much and she has an incredible memory. I have to struggle to remember the things she is talking about! That's not saying much, however. Bo is doing great as well. She is just getting in those two bottom teeth, learning how to pull the chairs out from under the table so she can climb up on it and wrestling with her sister a lot. I have been good. I belong to a dinner group where we meet every other week and switch up the part of the meal we bring (main, side, dessert) so that has been fun. This week we had a Greek theme so I made something I can't even pronounce (I think it was called Bougatsa). I have never worked with phyllo dough or marscapone cheese before, but it turned out pretty good. It almost tasted like sweet, crunchy German pancakes (hey bro-in-low, do they have "German pancakes" in Berlin? You are the self proclaimed Jelly Doughnut, so I thought I would ask!)
Anyway, that's the weekly update (or the first update ever... I will try to be better... this is actually kind of fun because it is like a diary). I have no idea if anyone other than my mom and in-laws check this, but it is fun just the same. Have a great weekend!

Refrigerator Arranging
Bo loves the refrigerator! Every time I open it and she is in the immediate area (which is pretty much every where in our apartment) she dashes for the fridge. As you can see from the following pictures, she likes to take the items off of the door and put them on the shelf and vise versa. These pictures really make me realize that I need to clean it out, but that will happen soon enough. We are moving out for the summer so I will have to do that anyway. Anyway, ignore the mess and enjoy the pictures.
Apricot jam does not belong on the door... no one puts apricot jam in a corner!
Steak sauce? Ha, there hasn't been a steak in this house for years!
Greatest activity ever!
What, you distracting me?
This looks like fun...
Tasty!
I am almost ready for my close up.
Carmel, sugar, what? This is mine!
I think this picture is really cute.
She must be preparing herself for the paparazzi someday.
Um... hmm... no comment on this, I don't know what to say... :)
I am going to run away with this really soon. Just watch!
THE original honey :) Yeah, I know, cheesy!
This bottle is really tasty. It tastes like chicken!

She was pretty upset in this picture because I wouldn't open up the yogurt for her. That's not why I am putting this up here. If you look close, you can see her two little snaggletooths (thank you elementary school teachers for my wonderful grammar!) They have grown out even more since this picture and this was taken last week!Thursday, April 26, 2007
It's Funny What You Find
I was trying to speed up our computer by getting rid of programs we never or will never use last night when I came across a random movie program. It won't let me do anything to our videos because I they are not converted to whatever it is that they need to do, but it let me make this slide show. I thought it was pretty cool. I showed it David last night and he got teary-eyed (don't tell him I said that, however). I have nothing to do with timing. I think it just changes with the beat of the music. It is kind of neat how it all works, however.

Oh What a Feeling...
If any of you are 80s music lovers, you will finish that song in your head. Success! This video (unless something drastic happens) has sound. I recorded this the other day of the girls dancing... both of them. It's a fabulous piece and the cinematography should be nominated for an Oscar (Meyer). They have the rhythm, they have the rhyme. Could we have expected anything less from our children? Bust a move!
Getting Some Play in at the Playground, Ya Know
Mommy and Daddy went on a date last week (hooray for miracles) and when we got back, decided to go play outside on the playgrounds (there are two here). It is finally getting warm enough that both girls can be outside. It was a great time. First we attempted to make some castles in the sandbox, then we watched Boo try to run away with another family (ha ha, she loves the daughter and just wanted to play), and then decided to let the girls take a chance on the equipment. Grand, grand times. Especially since I ran in and got the camera to capture some precious moments.
David loves this picture. It makes him feel really tall. It's so cute that our little Bo is so small. We get that comment all of the time, right after we hear that she is huge. Make sense, no, not really. I think the huge part has to do with her Buddha belly. She is really little though :)

I will not look at you... do, do, do...
Not this time... do, do, do
Boo was dropping off of the bars into Daddy's arms. The boy in the back, well, he ran into her while she was getting off of the slide later and kept getting in her face, so, being the nice girl that she is, she threw rocks in his face. Good grief!! We went home after that, but her is a picture of her victim. David says he deserved it since he was all up in grill (that means face for you that might not be up on the lingo like us... hey, it is a ghetto up here you know!). I know it was wrong, but at least we know she won't put up with garbage. My dad would have been proud!
Safe!
A monkey on the monkey bars just chillin'.
Hi Mommy!
These are pictures of Bo's first time in a swing. As you can see she hated it! :) Sorry they are so blurry, but that's what you get when the swing is moving back and forth and she is riding it like a bucking bronco. I don't think she realized she didn't have to work to enjoy the ride. She had a great time. I think I will be worn out from pushing both girls because they both seem to love the swing. Boo would almost fall into a trance because she would be in the swing so long. The apples don't fall far from the tree since I am (still) the same way.
Yea!
I love this picture. She looks very blissful.
So much fun!
Check out the hair.
Getting ready to take the plunge.
Geronimo! I didn't realize there was another picture of this poor little boy. I think this is when he gave her a nice kidney punch because he went down before she had time to get up. Two little footprints on her back. Poor baby!
If it's got rocks and dirt it's fun.
Mid-run... excellent form, especially the hair. Our children have fly-a-ways, or whatever it is that they call wild hair.
Hmmm... what other trouble can I get in?
Two gals with their tongues out. Bo's tongue is always out. Boo looks like she is getting ready to catch the latest hatched mosquito, or she already did.
Love this picture! Love it! So happy and so...
...Loud! We wouldn't be ourselves if we weren't!
Daddy looks a little too happy here. Good thing the baby is all for it!
Irony. She is wearing sandals.
Queen of the Mountain (of snow at the playground)
Look at me slide down the dirty, disgusting snow Mommy! It's fun getting dirty!Sunday, April 22, 2007
Disclosure
My husband watched the video and he thinks it looks like he is beating our child. Please be reassured that they are playing... I really wish there was sound on it! No child was hurt in the making of this film!

Easter Dinner at Grandpa's House
This year we went to Grandpa's house for Easter dinner. We had a lovely time, as you can see.
Look at this feast. It's beautiful! It even has the little booties on the pork chops. I have never eaten anything with a wardrobe before, but was pretty cool to look at. Grandpa goes all out on his dinners, so we were spoiled. It almost looks too pretty... almost.
Boo's getting ready to have some salad, without dressing, 'cus that's how she rolls, yo.
Utterly delicious!
The hunt was on (another calorie burner). Thankfully the girls found all of the real eggs.
One, two, three, four... mine, all mine!
Bo joins in the hunt.
And everyone needs a huge bunny and sheep on the big day.
Score!
Egg-static!
Chocolate is usually better with the wrapper off, but that's just my personal opinion.
